Mike has provided a preliminary summary of the pool repair costs and the steps taken to get it open. The summary of work document is here. The itemized list of materials and expenditures to-date is here. Mike will submit the all the receipts and a request for reimbursement when all the invoices are in, and we will pay the reimbursement to him at that time. Please pay special attention to the dates on the expenditures list. Each day that he worked on the pool represents a trip to a hardware store, or meeting with a professional, or laboring in the heat to find the source of the many problems. This is not a small job.
Please remember he did this all as a volunteer. He has not asked for mileage, He has not asked for compensation. He was approved to spend up to $5,000 to get the pool operational either through hiring contractors or using his expertise in this area. We all owe him a debt of gratitude for the tremendous amount of time and effort as well as the several thousand dollars he saved the Association.
So—Enjoy the remaining pool season and when you see Mike, be sure to thank him. A friendly wave, a warm hello, or a sincere pat on the back are all good ways to acknowledge his gift of time to the association.
